Protein involved in the synthesis of poly(3-hydroxyalkanoates) (PHA). In Pseudomonas oleovorans large amounts of this polyester are synthesized when cells are grown under nitrogen-limiting conditions. When nitrogen is further supplied in the medium, the accumulated PHA is degraded.
